How to get to the Community Centre
Route 125 goes between Preston and Bolton, and is every 10 minutes Monday to Saturday daytime, every 30 minutes at evenings and on Sunday. Alight at the Tesco / Elephant & Castle stop, and walk down Railway Road and the Community Centre is on your left.
Route 8A runs from Chorley Interchange to Blackrod, via Lower Adlington, but there are only two journeys from Blackrod to Chorley and three from Chorley to Blackrod on Mondays to Fridays, and four each way on Saturday. All are daytime journeys. Alight at the Adlington Library stop on Railway Road. Walk down the hill and the Community Centre is on your left. There is no Sunday service.
Adlington (Lancashire) station is served by trains on the Manchester, Bolton, Chorley, Preston and Blackpool line.
After alighting, make your way up the steps at the end of the platform onto Railway Road. Turn right up the hill, and the Community Centre is on your right.
Railway Road is the B6227 and links the A6 and the A673.
If coming from Horwich and Bolton on the A673, turn left at the traffic lights onto Railway Road. The Community Centre is on your left. There is a sign on the right pointing to the entrance , just past the library.
If coming from Chorley on the A6, turn left at the mini roundabout at the cross roads in lower Adlington onto Railway Road. The Community Centre is on your right. Look for the sign on your left.
From Westhoughton and Blackrod on the A6, turn right at the second mini roundabout in lower Adlington onto Railway Road. The Community Centre is on your right. Look for the sign on your left.
There is a large car park at the Community Centre. Please park as indicated by the white lines.
